daventry
Were the Falmer in previous TES Games and would it be even possible to cure them, hence they are so heavily influenced in this Game and somewhere there was talk about curing them. Maybe a DLC Do you think there will be a DLC about the Dwemner and where they have all gone, that Mage dude also disappeared when he hit his Dagger against the Crystal and yet nobody really cared that he is gone. Are the Dwemner and Falmer mentioned in the Next Games so to speak.

terzho
You can't cure evolution. Their bodies are the result of how their species have lived for thousands of years.
Khorak
There's already an expansion about the Dwemer, it's called The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind. It's good for a little diversion now and then. Falmer are screwed. Curing them would require an act of Daedric or Aedric Lord. The magic required to save them would have to be of simply awesome magnitude considering their current physical condition is a physical trait, and not something that came about due to magic or something similar. Only Azura has performed the incredible feat of warping an entire race. Edited December 19, 2011 by Khorak
flyingblind
I meant cure them to their original state instead of wiping them out, reminds me where are the Girl Falmer and Children Falmer, or are these guys ImmortalThere is a book in game called "The Falmer: A Study" that explains the history of there origins. It also discusses Blackreach and the Dwemmer and according to the book the blindness is permanent and bred into them. The Book item number is 000e0d68And as for Children, there are less than like 15 in all of Skyrim.

daventry
What about this so called Psijic Order, they seem Powerful enough and it seems they are located on Summerset Isle witch should be the Next Game.
Khorak
What about this so called Psijic Order, they seem Powerful enough and it seems they are located on Summerset Isle witch should be the Next Game. Exceptionally doubtful. They're powerful, but not 'magically change an entire race in a single instant' powerful. You'd probably need the Eye of Magnus (or other obscene deific artifacts) to pull off the kind of magic required here, considering the only time something like this has happened, a god had to do it. Come to think of it, the Tribunal never reversed the curse of Azura that made the Dunmer look the way they do; they created a lie about it. It's quite likely even they simply weren't powerful enough. takakupo
I quite disagree with everyone here. Their physical state (blindness) was brought on by adaptation to being underground. Their feral state however is from being poisoned by the Dwemer race and thusly, I believe they can be "cured" though I'm not exactly sure where one would start in that case. Like others have said, Daedra can intervene but I doubt they would since one of the in game books clearly states a paranoia/theory about the Falmer becoming more aggressive and having more brass as they hunt above ground more often in this era; a falmer invasion seems almost certain at some point (the books in the game however are sometimes not very credible though). I think it would actually be cool if the Falmer turned into a playable race in the next TES installment by means of a "Cure" like you said.
