Mikandil
So my Norton Security just went super mega nuts! It decided that all info.xml files are threats and removed them – rendering all my mods defunct! Now mod manager cannot find any installed mods and I have to spend this evening repairin the havok it caused :/ I’m soo pissed right now!
SMB92
Norton is a pile of garbage, feel very sorry for you if you paid for it. Get either Avira or BitDefender. I am using Avast right now but I'm looking to get rid of it (although it actually runs pretty well, up there with BitDefender) because they spam the fun out of me to buy so much extras when I have Premier edition already
Mikandil
Thanks for reply. I'm getting sick of this pruduct so I keep Avira and BitDefender in mind when choosing a new security software.

swagmoneybrah
Never use Norton it's a piece of garbage that constantly throws up false flags. If you want a decent AV program use either Avast, Windows Defender, or Malwarebytes. Anything else I wouldn't recommend.
WolfHawk
I HATE Norton. It's insidious. After using it for several months on one of my early computers I decided to uninstall it because it kept popping up with warnings. This on a brand new hard drive that I set up myself with newly purchased software and was not connected to the internet. So I used the Norton uninstall function, erased the program, cleaned the registry, and optimized the drive. For the next THREE YEARS Norton warnings STILL popped up!!! Even after moving that hard drive to D: and installing a new C: drive!!! Edited November 5, 2016 by WolfHawk
Mikandil
Yep those false flags are happening constanly. I really have tell it not to touch most of my computer ;D I'm leaning towards BitDefender of Kasperky

BitDefender particularly well known for minimal performance impact and highest security. Avast is just as good, Kaspersky and AVG also as good, but too much bloatware and ads for their meaningless add ons.
