To Rise at Sunset

To Rise at Sunset.

My heart has become shallow,

my soul no longer hallow,

my eyes are burdened with sight.

Mind always in a fog,

body always in ague,

relax I can't; My waking plight.

Legs fatigued to tremble,

thoughts as far as Kembel,

To find any peace, I must fight.

As I awake I notice my solitude,

silence creeps as voices elude.

I hold onto my sanity with all my might.

In my time I've noticed an irony;

In time, I find myself on the boundary.

Days or weeks, it's anyone's bet.

Dulled by continual monotony,

my cares turn to sour apathy.

Neither calm nor upset.

Ever more low, falling from high;

melancholy always rather nigh.

This lifeless living my one true regret.

Drifting off, sleep so finite,

Resting only on the apex of light.

It's the life I live, to rise at sunset.

Thought I might as well return with a new poem.

Kudos if you like it.

Be well, sleep well, fight well, live long.
