strawbqwerty
Dam Elves must be behind it. Who else would come up with Nexus mod manager. To say I am not exactly happy with this tool is a vast understatement. By the divines ,all nine of them, have I been spoil with mod organizer. I do realise after reading that it was a very old program from back in Morrow wind they chose to modify for Skyrim. Just hope that the collaboration between Nexus and the mod organizer results in some thing better than what we have now. For those that have not ever used Mod organizer well you have my sympathy and at least you will not know what a better world there is with mod organizer. jeffm24
Back in my day, we had Oblivion Mod Manager and we were grateful, dammit! *shakes fist* What's so awful about NMM, by the way? I understand MO has more features and is user-friendly but I've always been able to do what I need with OBMM, FOMM, NMM, and the various incarnations of Wrye Bash. SMB92
Wrye bash 4 life! Always used that for Oblivion and OG Skyrim. NMM isn't so bad, it'd be nice if it had an info panel for actual file conflicts, so we can see the overrides.
strawbqwerty
Also would be nice if you did not have to choose what file over rides another. Mod manager that is not a issue, just move your mod order around until you have the over rides that you want. You then only have to high lite mod in question, scroll along the list of other mods to see which ones that mod effects.Nexus mod manager has none of this. Can not open up a info window on any mods. This info window also displays the conflicting files and if you want you can deactivate them. As stated no data information panel. No search function on the plug in list. Got a long list that is a bit of a hassle looking for a plug in, No save file info panel. Just a set amount of supported tools. Mod organizer you can have as many as you wish. Nexus mod manager is only a semi virtual install it still loads files into the main data file. And most likely a few other short comings. I have used Nexus mod manger a few years ago and coming back to it is la real joy.
SMB92
The big reason for me using Wrye bash was to manage the files myself. Take UHD Fire FX, SMIM, HD Embers and SKHD, you have to install a certain way. NMM you have to keep good memory :D
