Watchdog
I seem to have a problem with endorsing Skyrim SE mods. Due to the NMM hickups after the launch of Skyrim SE (understandable due to the heavy traffic hitting the website), many mods end up in a wrong category, do not get a link to the mod page when added after a manual download, or even get a link to old Skyrim mod page. I would love to endorse the mods I like, but the mod pages tell me I have not downloaded the mods. I did, of course, wait for more than 15 minutes before attempting to endorse. NMM is currently offline, will this, perhaps, cure itself when logging in becomes possible again, at least in relation to endorsing and Skyrim SE mods being linked to old Skyrim files? Anya29
When you are next online press the binoculars button on the left to fix download IDs and look for mod updates. When you install a mod when Nexus is offline or swamped as it is at the moment the mod loads as it's zip name not it's Mod name so isn't linked to it's page, doing the above usually fixes it when you are logged in and the server loads aren't high. Watchdog
Thank you, Anya29. I will try that when Nexus traffic drops.
Anya29
And if that doesn't work just remove the mod and install it again until it registers as its proper name.
Watchdog
When you are next online press the binoculars button on the left to fix download IDs and look for mod updates. Using that button actually made the NMM to behave in a very strange manner. Some mods got renamed to something totally different and when I add a mod from a file now, especially Skyrim mods confirmed to work in SSE, the NMM adds a totally different mod name and link! This, however, seems to happen with SSE mods that were added from files too. Example: I downloaded this file and added: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/31088/?This appeared in the NMM instead: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/1/? What am I doing wrong? :-( Edited November 6, 2016 by Watchdog
Anya29
If you add a mod from original Skyrim into Skyrim Special Edition then it will get renamed to the ID number of the mod from Skyrim Special Edition or if the number doesn't match it makes one up. That's how NMM generates the mod update warnings, the mod ID number in the name of the ZIP. I usually get around this by completely renaming the ZIP/RAP/7z whatever they are to "<name of the mod> - Skyrim Original" Then it won't get randomly renamed. You will have to manually check for that mods updates on Skyrim Nexus or if it has been ported over to Skyrim SE. In the meantime copy the mod from the Skyrim SE mod folder (where all your mods are, wherever you have told NMM to put them, check your NMM settings if you aren't sure) onto your desktop, rename it. Uninstall and delete the mis-named one from NMM and re-install your renamed mod from the desktop into NMM and activate.
