Game crash after opening armor workbench

Hey guys,

 

I recently decided to start a completely new playthrough on the basis that all my mods were outdated since the last time I played.
So I spend the next day downloading mods from the nexus and finding the appropriate patches to get it all to work, only to find out that it crashes after trying to open an armor workbench.
I found another post related to it here, but it seems that thread is as good as dead.
What I took from it is that it might have something to do with the hud I'm using but I already tried disabling without success.
