beyondwudge Posted December 20, 2011 Share Posted December 20, 2011 Hey guys, Just wondering how to get a perk to use the player's medicine skill instead of the companion's when the player is healing them with stimpacks (via the quickmenu). So far I've figured out that you probably use the playerID condition == 1 right and then you want to run a script that sets their medicine to yours when doing it and sets it back when you're not doing it (i.e. when they'd heal themselves mid-combat). Another solution would be a script that just sets their medicine skill to yours fullstop and let it be abstracted out for gameplay purposes. However, I'm not sure how to go about this yet as I'm rather new to modding and learning as I go. Any help would be most appreciated. I'm working on a gameplay mod where companions don't auto-heal. Obviously this gives medicine a hugely important role since stimpacks are your only way of healing companions but companions use their own stat at the moment. I've tried to find the script that then does the effect but no avail. Anyone know where that is located? I've looked through the use info and haven't found the right one yet as far as I can tell.
