Problems porting an old Skyrim mod to Skyrim SE

I'm trying to get up my old Saber mod set up back up and working again from the original Skyrim, so I looked up a few a videos and article posts regarding porting old mods from the original to SE. What I know is that .esp only mods should work automatically. For a little bit, everything was going fine, I managed to port this mod, which contained custom textures and meshes for the armor I needed, and this mod which included a specific hair style I needed. Both worked perfectly fine in-game after opening and saving them the new SE CK, and I've seen no texture flaws or bugs so far.

However, I'm having some trouble porting this mod over to SE. The weapon's models are completely invisible in third person, but visible in first person, albeit very buggy, containing black squares, and turning into a raw mesh without texture in specific lighting. At a glance, this mod is basically the same as the first, it includes the obvious .esp, along with the textures and meshes to go along with it. But what I had done before with the previous mods doesn't seem to work with this one. I figured it was maybe a problem with the meshes, since the texture files were already in .dds format, so I googled some more information and took a suggestion to open the meshes in NifSkope, make all partitions, and update all tangent spaces. Clicking "Make all partitions" always returned with a "Made 0 partitions" message from the program, but I continued anyways to update all tangent spaces. After reopening the game, nothing changed, and the same problem before persisted.

Does anyone here have any insight on how I can try and fix this?

are the meshes purple? it may actually be a texture path issue. Make sure the texture path isn't going through the directory but starting at the data folder.

Apologies for my delayed response, but my textures are within my Data folder. Is there something I'm missing?

hey if your still having this problem I wasn't referring to missing textures, but texture paths for the model. If you look in nifscope you should be able to find where the model is looking for the texture, if the model is going through the directory along the lines of something like c:/programfiles/steam/skyrim/data that's the wrong way to do it. What this causes is issues if someone has the mod installed in a different location compared to the mod author, the correct path is something like this texture/hair/ponytail. You might want to check to make sure the texture path is correct.
