Darkrising
Seems like if you havent drawn back your bow, you should be able to shoot off spells with your right hand, no? Kinda makes it hard to use magic and archery at the same time. Is there something like this already?
huntsman2310
Sounds like a good idea, but I'm pretty sure just using a one-time spell to infuse your currently equipped arrows with a type of magick (like fire or cold or lightning) is much more practical. beukenootje2
sounds great to me, but for that to work a bow needs to become a 1h weapon --> can't draw with 1 hand ! just a thought.. (im no modder or whatsoever, but it just came up XD)

JanusForbeare
sounds great to me, but for that to work a bow needs to become a 1h weapon --> can't draw with 1 hand ! Sweet, then we can start dual-wielding bows.
Puddintaine
I completely agree with OP. Since day one playing Skyrim I've thought the same thing. It absolutely makes sense. You clearly have a free hand while carrying the bow around, why not put some spells in it? You wouldn't even need to kill the spell animation when drawing back, might look cooler like that :P Either way, yes. I would love the ability to wield both the bow and a spell simultaneously. Sweet, then we can start dual-wielding bows. No. This is different. Here we have a truly free hand, and it wouldn't break immersion since when you draw the bow, your spell is effectively sheathed. LightShadeInc
i LOVE huntsman's idea of imbuing arrows with magical effects instead of true dual wielding. the OP idea is only slightly more practical than switching with hotkeys since you wouldnt be able to actually use both at the same time. plus with hotkey switching, you get dual magic, which would be gone with magic/bow wielding.
