I need help with the Creation Kit, big time.

So, for my own personal game now that Special Edition is out, I'm trying to make a group of followers. Nothing really fancy, just custom voiced followers pretty much.

 

My issue is, with the creation kit, when I try to record the lines it creates the temp file in Data/sound/voice, however, clicking the save button does absolutely nothing. Wouldn't even create the (mymodsname).esp folder, or the actor folder inside of it. I tried manually creating those folders with the proper names. Still wouldn't save the file in there.

 

So, I gave in and booted up audacity to record my file, exported it with the proper mono-channel, 16-bit, 44100 Hz etc. Moved it over to the folder, gave it the generated name that Creation Kit was using. Okay, cool works in game. But I can't generate .lip files with that. the button just remains greyed out, even with create from .wav and the file selected.

 

I'm practically tearing my hair out here. I've scoured the internet already trying to find something that works. So far I can't find anything. I figure just making a topic to try and get some help is my best bet...

 

I don't know if it matters, but i'm using NMM to load most of my downloaded mods (except for this little personal one, obviously.)
