a series of odd glitches

I posted this on the mod troubleshooting forum but I am posting it here as well as I am unsure which would be a better classification for this. As described, my game has odd issues with the escape key sometimes refusing to respond, textures disappearing in game and being replaced with the red warning arrow when they had worked fine previously, me being unable to open crates, bags, and the like, and some people having missing bodies.

I would really appreciate assistance, as with these glitches, the game IS pretty much unplayayble.

i have got the same problem as your describing, i got it once before, but then the problem just dissapeared and my game worked again, but now i got the same problem again, and im still trying to find a solution, when i come up with one i will tell you for sure, but i would appreciate it if you could tell me too if you find a solution for the problem.

Well one reason is that you don't seem to have any kind of Load order set up at all. This points towards generally not caring how mods get installed, or in what order, leading to the likelyhood that you have not installed your mods correctly.

 

Warzones is said to be pretty glitchy if you're not careful about incompatibilities and overrides.

Same thing with FOOK.

 

Try deleting mods that you absolutely aren't using, and redownloading the ones that you deffinitely are. Then set up a better load order and make yourself a merged patch.

 

If you say "I don't know how", that's your biggest problem. Get FNVEdit and learn how to use it at least in it's basic form.

The main reason is that you are runnig too many mods/plugins. There is a max limit that goes from ~120 to ~150 depending on your system. If you break the limit, then you encounter all the problems you listed. Also, you need to check mods load order, use FOMM for that, it's very helpful ! :) Edited January 31, 2012 by Gaspare79

I was gearing up to give the same advice as soon as I read that textures were disappearing.

Nah that can be caused by an overloaded list too, luthienanarion. One of the first symptoms, too.

 

It's worth checking to make sure all the mods are installed correctly and archive invalidation is turned on, but also worth turning off a few dozen mods and seeing what happens.
