DeadPoolDP
Hello fellow FNV gamers ! As the title says, when I have NVBII installed, the game crashes upon load (on the bethesda icon thingy). Like actually it doesn't really crash, it freezes and won't go any further (so I guess we can actually call that a crash but y'know). So before coming in and annoying you guys with my problems, I tried several things to make it work : - Thought maybe a mod was conflicting, so I tried to disable every plugin besides someguyseries, NVBI and NVBII, plot twist : It crashes - Thought maybe the conflict was coming from an installed mod and so disabling a plugin wasn't helping, tried to uninstall new vegas, reinstall it, install ONLY someguyseries, NVBI and NVBII, plot twist : IT WORKED. YAAAAY. So, problem solved, tried to install other mods, actually I installed : MCM, UIO, Darnified UI and oHUD, launched the game, plot twist : Crashed. So I disabled the NVBII plugin and, it worked again. I wasn't actually believing that but maybe the conflict was coming from one of those mods, so... Tried to disable every plugins (so MCM, UIO, Darnified UI and oHUD) obviously reactivating someguyseries, NVBI and NVBII : Crashed. I'm feeling pretty down right now cause NVBII used to work by the past (and I had a f*ckin bunch of mod with it by the day), and now it just seems that it won't work anymore. And that sucks cause tbh, the NVB series is like the best quest mods out there on nexus (imo). And plus, I haven't played NVB3 and I don't wan't yo play it before NVBII is done, and plot twist : It can't be since it makes my game crash. So I'm trying and posting this on the forum to see if one of you guys have the solution cause I honestly don't know what to do at this point. And I'm slowly loosing the will to play this game because of this bug, so please, if you can, help me. PS : Sorry if the english wasn't that english, I'm from France and I have some issues learning my lessons, hope you guys at least have been able to get what I was trying to explain. Cheers ! Edited November 8, 2016 by DeadPoolDP
DeadPoolDP
Okay, just a quick edit about all of this. I'm actually waiting for an answer that might help and while doing this I'm redownloading some of my mods (I'm using Mod Organizer to make different profils and try some of your solutions, quite easier). I tried to install the Inheritance and the game crash, disabled the plugins and the game works again. So there's maybe a problem somewhere with someguyseries.esm or I don't know since The Inheritence and NVBII are older than NVBI. Outdated maybe ? Can't tell. Anyway maybe this quick edit might help to identify where the crash comes from ! Edit 2 : Weird thing, I have to make kind off a "preload", by that I mean that I need to launch the game one time : It'll crash, launch it again and it'll work. The hell ? JoKelly
I have all of Someguys mods installed along with many of the ones you listed and no problems. post your load list that might help. Something is not playing well with Bounties. if what you listed already is all you have then its either darn or Ohud. I have all the others you mentioned plus sixty more installed and no problems. edited to include. I seem to remember reading somewhere that Someguy said to use all the latest versions of his mods, something about the SomeGuy ESM, or maybe I dreamed that. its worth a shot anyway. JoKelly
if that was your load order when it crashed again, I would first download all the newest Someguy files, then try it again. if that fails then try disabling either Darn or Ohud and see if it crashes first with one then the other. DeadPoolDP
Alright, so I'll write my answer as I go through the steps to be as clear as possible Firstly, I installed The Someguy Series v2.0, New Vegas Bounties 1 v1.55 and New Vegas Bounties 2 v1.47. Activated the three plugins and launched the game with only those three plugins on : It crashed. Not even freezed, just crashed, plain and simple, falloutnv.exe has stopped working and all. I have only those three plugins on, I just.. ffs I just can't get it.

Its a shot in the dark, but strangers things have happened. I know that on occasion I've had the exe just stop working. But being paranoid about such things I have copies stashed of the clean load and various files and just replaced it.
DeadPoolDP
Yep, I did, and everything is working just fine. An other mod profil of Mod Organizer, no problem, the one with only NVB1/2 and someguy : crash. I'm loosing faith tbh right now x)
JoKelly
Maybe, I stress maybe, you have a corrupt file. have you re-downloaded the series and replaced the files? if thats not it, I don't know. I could do alot of googling for a solution.
dubiousintent
Two things jump out at me: 1. You are using NMM as your manager, and "de-activating" plugins. When you re-installed the game and only the NVB series files, it worked. After you installed other mods it failed, and deactivating failed. SO, this tells me that some mod is overwriting a file which is not getting restored simply by "de-activating". Uninstalling mods and "verifying local files" will be required to restore things to "vanilla" if you don't want to simply delete the game and re-install. Then install mods one at a time and test thoroughly before installing the next to pin down the culprit. 2. You have several HUD-UI-Menu mods installed, specifically some which have to be installed in the correct order. See the wiki article "HUD-UI-Menu issues" which discusses this and the solution. This is not likely to be causing the CTD on load, but it will bite you sooner or later. See "Cause-2" in this entry of the article "FNV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide. As you are not clear if "on load" is when starting a new game or loading a "save game", in the latter case you should also see this entry in the same article. To the best of my knowledge, that wiki article has everything you will find searching the web about FNV CTD issues. If you find something it doesn't cover, let me know the link and I'll update it. -Dubious- Edited November 8, 2016 by dubiousintent
