Help request on texture swapping

Well after some googling and searching around on these forums, i still cant find a good starting point to try and attempt what i want to do.

 

Here is the plan:

 

I want to take the texture that is currently applied to my oblivion dark elves bodies, and place it on the custom dark elf bodies.

 

Here is the situation:

 

I have a few mods that i wish to merge by doing the above. Im no modder, and i claim no ownership of ANYTHING im using other than my base hardcopy of oblivion goty :D But anyways, i have a custom body mod that changes the appearance of the men and women of the varying races. Well, two mods but no matter. The body mods work, and all my races show up with these custom bodies. The texture for these bodies does not show up on all of my races, particularly it is not on a few of my custom races. Now i would like to fix this using the files that i already have, and i know its possible because two of my custom races have the textures on them already because they use the default skin textures already.

 

Here is the question:

 

How do i change the file targeting for what oblivion loads as a texture for a body?

 

I have Wrye Bash, and OBMM, and the Tes construction set, but i dont know where to start looking for this particular job. I dont realy understand how to use these programs yet, i only started trying to mod my oblivion two days ago, and this is the first time im trying to actually edit something myself rather than just apply patches :D. Other than assorting a different soundtrack for the game wich realy is nothing more than figureing out that oblivon randomly selects the mp3's from the folders, i havnt done anything like this myself in oblivion.

 

Other games, i swap and edit textures like i want to do here, but oblivion is a diff system and diff files, so im lost XD.

 

Anyways, any help would be most appreciated. Ive tried searching about on google and here, and im still doing so, but i figured id ask incase anyone can help.

I forgot to say this is gonna be for personal use, not gonna distribute someone elses work that ive simply rearanged without proper crediting and permissions.
