goranpaa
I have noticed that some of the blurryness is due to a slight fog. I recon it's there for the sake of the God rays? Using the console command: Setfog 0,3000000 will help some. At least on the distant fog. Edited November 10, 2016 by goranpaa
Pokletu
It's Depth of Field, I just figured out. It's WAAAY to dramatic. Just turn that down...
Deleted2770933User
I appreciate all the responses and suggestions, thanks guys! After trying everything without any success, I finally got to the bottom of it! I was using Nvidia's DSR and running the game at 3840x2160. As it turns out, this game does not scale well at all, causing everything to look fuzzy. When I turned my game resolution down to native 1080, the problem was resolved; at least, improved I should say. I still feel the textures lack sharpness, but this is easilt fixed using Reshade. jones177
Nvidia's DSR is basically a replacement for heavy AA. It is an old trick that 3D artists have been using since the 80s. Even now at work I render at double the output size without AA. Renderings take less than half the time & I do the reduction in PhotoShop. The improved engine is a bit fuzzy at low resolutions. I played the old Skyrim at 1440 resolution on a 3840 x 2160 monitor. Upping the resolution didn't change much so there was no point. This is basically the Fallout 4 engine & as far as I am concerned Fallout 4 only looks sharp at 3840 x 2160.My other computer has a 3440 X 1440 VA monitor & the game looks a bit fuzzy on it. This is a really a pity because the "look" of the game is phenomenal on a VA monitor. Later
Kiowa7
Well I know exactly what you are talking about, everything is fuzzy kinda. And all my graphic settings or on either High or Ultra. Have to say things look great on SSE, just not up close. When I first saw the expanse of colors and textures I was amazed, every thing looked so real. Then the fog, first though I was in LA it was so thick. Tried to get a close look at some of the mountain flowers, but they was fuzzy, the npcs, horses n goats were all sorta fuzzy. Another thing I noticed bout SSE is the shadows in the groin area of the npcs when they are nude. I saw this right after installing a "nude" mod and was equipping my follower Lydia. It certainly looked strange, first thoughts was advanced crotch rot, or maybe bloomer crickets or might even be flies. But no, not any of those, it's shadows and shadings where there shouldn't be any. This kinda stuck in my mind, so I went and installed a nude mod in FO4 then ran off to look at some raider chicks. Sure enough, there was the shadows, same as SSE. So after more research on female npc crotch rot I found the shadows present in FO3, Oblivion and FNV with the older games having less shadows and shadings than the newer one. Oh well probably best to but drawers on them ladies anyways.
