mainevent4u88
I think it would be cool if there was a mod that made it so you blended in to whatever faction's armor you're wearing as long as you have on the full set. For instance a full set of forsworn armor would let you be friendly with the forsworn, but attacked instantly in side strongholds. What do you guys think? cppcooper
They should remain friendly under three circumstances. You look like one of them by wearing their equipment, including weaponsYou walk and don't run while they can see you and are within a certain rangeYou don't talk with them, and don't get close enough that they try to talk to you Edited December 21, 2011 by Sagenth
Kairo29
was just wishing the other day that I could disguise myself. it would make assassinations so much better :D
ryanwh
I think it should be tied to stealth and/or speech. I don't think you should be able to kill a random Imperial guard and suddenly be one of them (they should be savvy enough to tell) without some associated perk. But I like the base concept, it opens a ton of possibilities. Like a mission where you disguise yourself as faction x to frame them for a crime, or something like that. Exactly that was the thought process behind my suggestions. If you are trying to pretend you are one of them it would be best to not let them get a good luck at your face. Since they don't run around unless they are attacking something it is also a good idea to not run yourself, though if you do run it should just make them run after you not shoot arrows at you. That way if you let them catch up they will see your face and attack. Then of course if you try talking to one of them, they will instantly attack; unless you are in a quest and it has been modified to require some persuasion of enemies while in disguise. It would be pretty bad-ass to kill a patrol, drag their body off into the shadows dawn their armour walk out of the shadows upright and go into the stronghold. Once inside persuade a guard to leave their post or something like that, say you were a patrol guard but then you got an arrow in the knee so you need to switch roles. Kairo29
I think skills or perks for disguising could be spread out in different branches of character development. 1 example that comes to mind is in illusion. When you're disguised, having skill in illusion should help you do a jedi-mind trick on NPCs so they feel you look familiar and aren't quick to say "Hey, who are you?!" Speech could work in the same way when it comes to being witty enough to speak like a certain member of a faction would, or adopt mannerisms quickly that help make your disguise effective. You are correct, the mehrunes razor is a shining example of such, I think the wabbajack is too.In anycase unless they have unlimited charges they are scripted. Mehrunes only sometimes gets an instant kill, something I doubt an effect would be able to accomplish and when you do instantly kill something just like every other hit, the charge meter doesn't lower. Besides they did this sort of thing in Oblivion with a few items.
