Kurakkon
Hi guys, I've been a veteran Skyrim gamer on PC, with mods, for a long time now but I'm stumped with my latest problem, with SSE. I have a fair amount of mods installed (89). A chunk deal with 4K textures for areas (Skyrim 2017 Textures mod, all) and the rest are a mixture of fairly normal stuff. Nothing that previously on the original Skyrim release I had any problems with, at all. 0 0 Skyrim.esm 1 1 Update.esm 2 2 Dawnguard.esm 3 3 HearthFires.esm 4 4 Dragonborn.esm Falskaar.esm Lanterns Of Skyrim - All In One - Main.esm Campfire.esm TravellersOfSkyrim.esm Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch.esp Cutting Room Floor.esp Castle Volkihar Rebuilt.esp Immersive Sounds - Compendium.esp Better Vampires.esp Book Covers Skyrim.esp Man Those Borders!.esp Combat Evolved.esp skyBirds_SSE.esp SkyTEST-RealisticAnimals&Predators.esp Hothtrooper44_ArmorCompilation.esp Populated Dungns Caves Ruins Legendary.esp Skyrim Better Roads and Bridges - All In One - Merged.esp Run For Your Lives.esp SMIM-SE-Merged-All.esp Vivid WeathersSE.esp Ars Metallica.esp Bring Out Your Dead.esp Trees in Cities.esp Immersive Patrols II.esp Frostfall.esp Immersive Followers.esp Ducks and Swans.esp RealisticWaterTwo.esp Skyrim Flora Overhaul.esp Blacksmith Forge Water Fix SE USSEP.esp ExpandedCarriageService.esp Apocalypse - Magic of Skyrim.esp DarkerNights.esp Dr_Bandolier.esp Gildergreen Regrown.esp Hothtrooper44_Armor_Ecksstra.esp TravellersOfSkyrim - Dragonborn Addon.esp TravellersOfSkyrim - Vanilla.esp Capes&Cloaks.esp Guards Attack Hostiles.esp coveredcarriages.esp CriticalCorrection.esp DeadBodyCollision.esp DiverseDragonsCollectionSE.esp DustEffectsSSE.esp dD - Enhanced Blood Main.esp dD-Larger Splatter Size.esp AmazingFollowerTweaks.esp Move it Dammit.esp OpulentOutfits_SSE_AIO-2016.esp dD - Realistic Ragdoll Force - Realistic.esp Ordinator - Perks of Skyrim.esp BarenziahQuestMarkers.esp Player_Shadows.esp skysan_icicle.esp WerewolfPerksExpanded.esp When Vampires Attack.esp LrsamwaysExpandedSkyrimWeaponry.esp WetandCold.esp MLU.esp Open Cities Skyrim.esp Alternate Start - Live Another Life.esp So the issue is, in certain scenes and areas, just by walking into them or stood still and watching, the game really starts to chug and stutter. There's an orc fort, for example, that when you near it an orc up in the lookout tells you to stay away. All seems OK. Until I get to the door and open it, then combat starts and it drops into a crazy chuggy, stuttering mess. To rewind a bit, I run SSE from an EVO SSD, on a system with 32GB RAM, i7 and a prior-gen 12GB Titan X. On Windows 10. When SSE is running, with all mods in, I'm seeing reports of anywhere from 19%-99% GPU usage and about 30-40% VRAM usage (so about 4-5GB), though my CPU usage is pretty low at low to mid teens consistently. The game automatically sets the fidelity to Ultra, through. If I disable all mods, the game runs smooth as butter. No problems. Am i hitting some sort of soft cap that will make the game crawl no matter whats modded in? Does any of this sound familiar to anyone else? Any help is appreciated guys. ZeDenoted
I see that you're on Win 10. Have you tried disabling Xbox DVR? Link: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=6239-DZCB-8600 See if this helps.
Kurakkon
Same, sadly. It's definitely a rendering issue of some kind. If I stand on the docks at Solitude and look up to the city, it really chugs. Look at the floor and to the swamp behind its full speed. I guess I'll need to go through each mod one at a time, though the problem is that its so random too, that the last time I tried it with the same scene it seemed to be great, up until I ran up the steps and ran into NPCs wandering around, then it chugged again. Same for combat. I note my VRAM usage with all the mods in is around 30-40% so a good 5GB or so.
