how do you add a boarder to a new land mass?

im making a new land mass that will be snowy called the tundra and i need to know how to add boarder regions because its only 1 quarter of the full size it can be and i dont want people to wonder into the side of it, fall and die.

Just create a region at the region editor and set it as a "border region" by checking the required box...
