SOIAF Mod

First of all sorry for my English)

Playing vanilla Skyrim, time to time I found a lot of references, with great saga of George R. R. Martin - “A song of ice and fire”.

Lets start with giants – they a not really colossal creatures, just 2 or 3 human size, armed with great clubs. And they shepherd mammoths! Add here Forsworns – and we got the great army of Wildlings or Free Folk – how they call themselves.

Draugs can be “Others” - they got the same blue eyes.

Theirs not so much dragons in SOIAF, but if made little copy of what we got in vanilla we can get

Viserion, Rhaegal and Drogon.

If dig deeper you found much more references, and a lot of materials that already Skyrim can give us.

I just dont know, how the mod should look like. I got some ideas:

1) We can just build a Wall across Skyrim, remove big strongholds, below the wall put Winterfell, and small castles. Near the wall will be strongholds of Night's Watch. Above the wall will be small settlements of Forsworns, and giants. The mod can began just like the Skyrim =) Your protagonist just new member of Night's Watch – but your caravan ambushed by the gang of Forsworns.

2) It can be global mod changing geography - whole Westeros, with King's Landing and Red Keep on the east, Casterly Rock and Lannisport on the west. Great architecture of Harrenhal and The Twins. I know – it is a lot of work, but can you imagine how great it gonna looks like!

P.S. Today I saw the trailer of Game of Thrones RPG (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3u_in5cb4Ec&feature=player_embedded), and you know... Skyrim looks much better, and with CK SOIAF - mod will be interesting to see.

I would LOVE to see a Song of Ice and Fire mod. I'm thinking a prequel to Game of Thrones based around Robert Baratheon's rebellion so as not to make it too predictable in terms of storyline - though there's plenty to play with in and around the main storyline - I really like HBO's approach of showing things that were less explored in the books to retain freshness for fans.

There's plenty of room for experimentation in Dorne, Oldtown and in the East with Danaerys too.

A prequel would have a lot more dragon involvement, and be VERY epic.

And like you say, there's a lot of overlap going on north of the wall with giants and mammoths and shadowcats, oh my! XD

I'd love to write and maybe do some modelling and world building.

And I say - don't adapt Skyrim, Westeros needs to be made itself! There are plenty of very detailed maps in the books to build on.
