Marcus Wolfe
Yeah, but it doesn't make you feel like going to college, does it? We already know colleges exist, so it's not that sort of advertisement. Must be the 'new image' sort.'
ninja_lord666
The point of a lot of advertising is, surprisingly, not to make you want something, but to make you think about it. If something strikes you as odd, like this guy, you talk about it with others who may not have seen the initial advertisement. While you may not want the product/service, whoever you're talking to might. Then, that person buys the product/service. Buy discussing Obay, you're spreading news of that college around to people who are at the stage of choosing a college but might not know which one they want to go to. This 'helps' them make that choice.
Marcus Wolfe
Well, actually, we have careers class and they make you look at colleges and universities. Really, there isn't much a point in advertising to a teen market because it's already forced on us at school.
freddycashmercury
Perhaps, but how many kids actually pay attention in this class? My friends in public school have the same sort of class, and they have no idea what college they want to go to. Plus, not all schools have that type of class. I researched colleges on my own.
