aputamkon Posted December 22, 2011 Share Posted December 22, 2011 with my two previouse post what i would like to do is make a script were on a critical hit (when attacking with the Hand To hand skill) my charactor will absorb health from my target. im trying to set the amount of of health absorbed to 50% of what ever the damage total is. i was figureing on a 1%-5% chance on the crital hit. i know nothign about modding. i plan on using it for the kijit race so i want to referance it to tha race. as a bonus for hand to hand damage since i asume they have claws of some sort. David Brasher Posted December 26, 2011 Share Posted December 26, 2011 I don't believe that Oblivion coding uses critical hits like the 1 in 20 critical hit in D&D with the roll of a 20 on a 1D20 roll. Unlike Morrowind where hits did random damage within a range, it seems like an Oblivion hit always does the same amount of damage when all other things are at a given level. So it would be difficult to put a set-up into Oblivion where critical hit odds are calculated. It would be more difficult to have a particular hit inflict non-standard damage. The damage may have to be delivered by script or by spell, and it would not actually be hand-to-hand melee combat damage. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
