All origins set to Grey Warden

Hi, not sure if anyone else has had this problem but since I activated the DLC, any new character starts as a grey warden. I can choose sex, race and class but then the only option for every race is warden. Playing as a human I go through the human noble story but any origin-specific dialogue after that doesn't trigger. The elf origin can only play as Dalish, not city. Characters start off wearing Grey Warden armour and when you run into Cailan at Ostagar you tell him your came from a farmhold near Redcliffe, regardless of race. It's a pretty minor annoyance, but it did cost me a royal marriage and a better revenge story!

A few, I'll do my best to list them all:

DA redesigned

Improved atmosphere

IRS Alistair

Phoenix armory

White teeth (although I may as well uninstall it, doesn't work)

No helmet hack

Mabari extra companion slot

Dahlialynn's first night, Alistair's nightmare and royal wedding

And a hair mod I can't remember the name of

I think that's just about everything. When I get the chance I'll try uninstalling them all and see if that helps, but I'm a bit worried my warden might end up with no hair.

a. Phoenix Armory seems like the most likely source of problems with armours.

b. IA is known to cause significant problems when used with other mods. Often in unusual or unexpected ways. And uninstalling it may not resolve the issues, (problems get "baked-in" to the saves.)

c. DA Redesigned has so many pieces, variations, and permutations, it's easy to make a mistake somewhere along the line.

None of your other mods is likely to be the source of the kind of issue you're experiencing.

(Side Note: White Teeth does NOT work with other mods that change the default faces and/or skin textures.)

I use

DA Redesigned

IRS Alistair

Phoenix Armory

No Helmet Hack

Extra Dog

All of DL's Alistair mods
pretty much every hairstyle mod ever released

along with about 250 other mods, and none of them cause issues such as those described.

Phoenix Armory does not conflict with any other mods, as far as I know, though it wouldn't hurt anything to reinstall it.

Of the mods you've listed, the only one that changes NPC gear and adds assets from Awakening (such as the Grey Warden origin) is Improved Atmosphere. Since I believe IA also affects dialog, I would also concur with Thandal that it is both a likely suspect and that it would be well neigh impossible to remove mid-playthrough. /2 cents

This might sound like an odd question, but have you used the Dragon Age toolset at all? (I ask only because it can sometimes leave behind unwanted and harmful files that result in truly bizarre, unique 'bugs'.)

White teeth note: I did find a similar mod (realistic teeth) that makes teeth look a little less disgusting, but it also makes everyone look like they have a mouth full of chewing gum or extra teeth or something. I'm honestly unsure why the original programmers wanted to give everyone disgusting grey/brown teeth.

Uninstalling IA fixed my origins problem and also now my DLC are in English instead of German and Russian (I can talk to Shale without subtitles, yay!) Then I reinstalled it because half my NPCs were walking around in their underwear, but the problems don't seem to have come back. Thanks for the help!
