BodySlide completely blank

yeah thanks videos locked down and unavailable.

I discovered a fix for this, It's Vortex. Vortex puts the files needed into a separate folder.

So in the \Data folder, look for a folder called \00 Required (Slim) \ Caliente Tools \ Body Slide, and copy everything from that folder into : Data \ Caliente Tools \Body Slide. Job done.

Bodyslide always does this for me. It's literally never worked at all in the time I've been modding. Anybody find a fix? It's really annoying.

i had the same problem. what worked for me was actually making sure to have an OUTPUT PATH

The default is to the player meshes folder. That is, if properly installed, Bodyslide automatically outputs to the player's folder if the

Settings >> Advanced >> Output Path is blank.

If it's improperly installed, I suppose that might be a tactic.

The fix for Mod Organizer 2, is to make it an executable inside the manager, similar to setting it as a tool inside Vortex.

Click on the drop-down box next to the Run button.

Click on edit and then find the executable file that works with your system; 32-bit / 64-bit. It should be located through the file path that you set for the original download of MO2. Then go to mods\Body Slide and Outfit Studio\Caliente Tools\BodySlide... and you should see the executables for both BodySlide and OutfitStudio.

Once you have the executable set, change the drop-down to show BodySlide or OutfitStudio and run it. It should populate the GUI with the appropriate files for your mods and respective game.

Hope this helps all the people that are looking for an answer and only finding possible solutions that you could try... or silly comments.

This happens to me every time I reinstall Skyrim (any version) and whatever mod organizer I'm using since the dawn of time. And it happens right when I've just installed Bodyslide and have all the paths correct. It's also always when I've first launch the mod organizer and maybe have launched the game once, both from Steam and then from SKSE. I quit and go back to the organizer and try to open Bodyslide and dang it... blank! Know what fixes it? Closing my mod organizer and relaunching it. When I relaunch it, there's always an alert telling me that .inis need to be created and that the organizer will now create them. Once the organizer launches again, I go to Bodyslide and poof... everything is there. I always forget that I simply need to relaunch my mod organizer.

create a shortcut to desktop after installing bodyslide and outfit studio. run Bodyslide the first time from that shortcut. The first time it runs it will "ask" where skyrim (or any other Bodyslide valid game) is installed. For vortex and a default install, it prepopulates with the correct location. I have no idea about installing to different locations than default for vortex, or for MO2 in case you're using that one.

In any case, it should be a simple matter of browsing to the install location.

For my default C drive install on a windows 10 system, using vortex, the location is:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\

PS> you'll need to reinstall any clothing/armor/etc installed prior to properly setting up Bodyslide, or the items those mods contain won't show up. (since their details won't have been properly populated in Bodyslide's subdirectories)

PPS> I'd recommend using that desktop shortcut for launching Bodyslide. I get the game console kiosk thing, but it's Klutzy and unnecessary, and at least in my opinion, results in more problems than just using a desktop shortcut.
