How to make gun (mods) integrate in enemies

Hi team,

 

 

I apologize if my subject line is too confusing,

 

I was wondering if it is possible to download "x" mod which contain new guns and how to possible to integrate these to your enemies loot tables.

 

for example , http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/19497/?, I would like to have the enemies drop it instead of me finding it in a specific location,

 

Is this possible using FO4Edit? or is this something the Mod Author has to enable?

Actually, for that mod specifically it has a chance to spawn on some bosses according to the description on it's nexus page.

 

The more specific terminology you are looking for is called "leveled lists", sometimes simply referred to as "LL" by some mod authors, especially if they are talking about how to obtain a certain weapon, armor piece, or outfit. Unfortunately, mods that add any of the above three without patches for each other will conflict in that only the last one loaded has any chance to spawn on the conflicting entity's leveled list. Fortunately however you can very easily create your own "merged patches" for leveled lists with virtually no chance of screwing up your game as long as you create them correctly. Here is a link to a youtube tutorial on the basics of making merged leveled list patches.

 

Now, as to creating a leveled lists entry for a weapon that does not already have an entry for that specified entity I am not sure about as I have not done such a thing myself. however I imagine it is decently easy to do and could likely be figured out by looking at other entries as an example.
