DoctorNoodlez
So, my problem is that whenever I ask a doctor to fix me up, they say that I need 75 caps. The thing is, I have over 75. I went to numerous doctors and it gives me two options. "Actually, I don't have 75 caps" or "On second thought, I'll have to come back later" even though I have over 75 caps. Here's is my load order. Sad thing is that I don't know which mod caused this :(. So far, this is only happening with the doctors and Im afraid that this will happen to many other NPCs. DoctorNoodlez
I recently found out that this has affected me doing some quests. I couldn't even talk to BoxCars at nipton. -_- Edited December 24, 2011 by DoctorNoodlez
Jeoshua
Patches! You're doing it wrong! I don't know if this is actually the source of this problem, but I guarantee it is the source of some other problems you may not have even realized. ...New Vegas Error Corrections - DLC + GRA.esp...NVEC The New Bison Steve Hotel PATCH - DLC.esp...The New Bison Steve Hotel.esp... You should always put patch files after both (or all of the) files that they are trying to make compatible. Otherwise you won't have any luck using them at all. Go through your load order. Make sure all compatibility patches are coming AFTER the files they are meant to make compatible.
Serenissima
Same issue, but applying to all NPCs that take money, though I first noticed it with doctors. Deactivating all extra bits of Project Nevada initially fixed it, but it's reappeared again. UPDATE: I've worked out a 'fix' that seems to work, though I still don't know the cause of the error. Try leaving the area you're in (once you've sorted your load order), and then going back to talk to the NPC you want to give money to again. If they're in an interior, step outside, if they're in an exterior, go inside somewhere and then out again before talking to them. DoctorNoodlez
So, when I advanced more into the game, done the DLCs, the doctors actually accept my money now for some reason. I played as cautious as possible to not get crippled so I was doing pretty good without the doctors. But now the issue came back when I created a new character. So far, I'm using the console command if my LMB is red for doctor's bags. And the thing is, I never changed my load order until today. I wonder what the cause of this issue is but I'll find a solution somehow. D:
