Strange Orange "Enchant" Lines on Skin

NEMESISD

Recommended Posts

When around fires, orange dotted lines reflect off of dark parts of characters' skins like light reflecting off of plastic wrap. Here it runs down Lydia's legs and speckles on the sitting lady's arm. The lines move around with the character as if they are covered in some gloss. They only occur on the dark parts of the body:

Here are some up close pictures of the phenomenon and how it moves (these lines are created on the side of the body recieving not light):

This happens much more clearly with females, but I've seen it occur on my male redguard to a much lesser degree. It gets much harder to see in light or when I turn on the fxaa post processor. In the first picture, the orange line surrounds the shadow on the left (stage left) of her belly, and on the second fxaa post processor makes it virtually invisible on the lady's face:

Does anyone have any ideas why this is occurring or how to remove this? Here is my configuration (Sorry for the low-quality pic, I can re-post if it's a problem):

orange dotted lines

Something must have been lost when you posted the screenshots.

I see nothing like what you describe .

I can see nothign 'wrong' with the pictures.

You may have to post larger pictures or crop the section specific so Nexus won't shrink

it so much.

The lines are on the sitting lady's arm in the first picture, as well as running down Lydia's legs. In the second picture a line curves from Lydia's under-boob to around the shadow on her belly. They are a bit hard to see at this quality, but definitely easier to see when moving around like reflections. I will take a closer picture in a little bit and add it to my first post.

Alright, I modified my post with more pictures and a better description. I would greatly appreciate any input on this issue, as it makes the game lose some of its immersion to me.

I don't see those lines in your pictures either, but if it is what i think you mean, it's an artifact that results from what i think is B's attempt to simulate sub-surface scattering on human skin (to make it look more skin-like). Edited by rpawn

I'm so distracted by those impressive bazongas that any orange lines become inconsequential.

I think I see what is bugging you in the zoomed pictures but have no idea why they are there. Probably some artifact to do with

the body texture mod. Or perhaps one of those world light altering mods I think I saw in your listing.

My only suggestion is to try removing mods to see if any are to 'blame'.

I'd just concentrate on what matters for now. Bazongas. Rest is cake.

Okay, thanks for your help. Ironically, last time I cancelled caliente's body mod and bella's better females nothing changed, so I think have to just start randomly cancelling them as you say.

And yes, I like bazongas. Big-time.

This topic is same as one i started earlier. So far nobody seems to know a fix

http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/501292-specular-light-makes-edges-on-character/

And it's not any mods fault. In fact i'm curious if a graphics enhancing mod would actually fix this?

In more detail, it's not any texture mod fault, it can't be. Normal maps only make it smoother, but the lines are not appearing at polygon edges, they appear in pixel detail. Lines move when character turns or lights move. Therefore it has something to do with shaders.

Hmm, I see. I have also seen identical or different colored reflect lines on stones recently in the game. If what you say is true, then maybe screwing around with the shader options could work.
