abaris
Hi all! I never got into Oblivion when it first came out and didn't pick it up since 2007. Now, with all the mods I want to give it another try. I'm looking mainly for roleplaying mods, preferably some that make the rather lame main quest obsolete, good quests and the likes. I'm also looking for good companion and romance mods. I admit, I'm a little bit lost browsing through all the categories and am open for suggestions. JCP768
Integration is the best in terms of quest and romance. No companions though. It has over 80 quests, over 24 hours of silent dialogue, multiple solutions for just about every quests, proper immersion, and integration, lore, choices & consequences, a huge multi-stage romance (it starts about half way through the main quest-line, and it continues onward even after the main quest-line ends) http://www.moddb.com/mods/integration-the-stranded-light
Rennn
Alternative Beginnings is a great mod for role playing. It lets you pick from about ten small origin stories that determine how you start the game, and it delays the main story. All the origin options are pretty interesting (though short) as well. CM Companions will also let you pick up fairly generic (yet highly responsive) companions in your travels that fit general archetypes of 'mage', 'warrior', or 'rogue'. That way you can let someone else tank as you play a mage, or vice versa. There are some bugs though. Alternative Beginnings is still the best I can think of. You can also try searching the nexus for 'role play dialogue' or something similar. I remember there was a partially finished mod released a while back that went by a similar name and was supposed to give you multiple options in vanilla quests and encounters. I remember it gave you many options for pleading innocent after committing a crime, which is really mostly when I usually noticed it. The grammar was bad, so I eventually uninstalled it. I'm thinking about giving the latest version another try though. Edited December 30, 2011 by Rennn
