I am stuck in third person view and can't use any of the controls e.g. fighting, opening things. I was in the middle of a fight when it happened so I quit the game, loaded up my last save file and it is exactly the same. In fact all of my save files have been effected. I unchecked a phantom horse mod I made, loaded my game, got the message about it relying on custom content that isn't present, quit the game, re-checked the mod, re-loaded the game and now I'm stuck in vanity view mode, I can't even turn my character, and it's for all my saves. :(I'm worried that some crucial animation was overwritten or something. :( Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Load a different saved game-if it plays normally then load your "bad save" if it will play normally Oblivion just Hiccuped because of a glitch caused by animation. If your "bad save" is still bad or all of your saves are still glitched, delete the mod that caused the problem COMPLETELY or try to debug it with the CS or a similiar program. I just keep jumping into third person view ( a view I never use), and can only correct it by exiting the game and coming back in (over and over and over and over lol). Does anyone think it's a corrupt file, maybe wrong video quality settings? It's impossible and such a waste of time to have to reload every 3 to 4 minutes - no fun at all. tigerscar56 Posted June 24, 2011 Share Posted June 24, 2011 (edited) i have the same exact problem. i started and its in third person. wont let me change views. then i restart the game and its in first person. but every time i talk or do something it goes back to third person. i cant even turn when its in third person. this also happened in my copy of fallout new vegas. please help. i also dont have any mods because i just got the game.
