Changing skin tones through TESsnip and NIFSkope

Just started modding today. Here's a Sylgja face and outfit mod I did to try things out:

Swapped some parts from other characters, recolored her hair, and a new outfit set which was basically the tavernwench outfit + a circlet.

On the skin tones though, if you'd notice the face's are a bit different, most noticeable in the lips. I did this by going on TESsnip and in my plugin, I deleted all instances of TINI, TINC, TINV, and TIAS which apparently control some sort of thing about tinting according to this UESP article. This was because I was patterning Sylgja's appearance after Hroki, who didn't really have any of these entries. The problem for me was, and I'm not sure if this usually happens, that once I loaded my plugin again the body and face didn't match anymore. Her head was lighter (or darker? can't remember) than her body. To fix this I tried extracting Hroki's facetint texture from "Skyrim - Meshes.bsa" and renamed it under Sylgja's formid so it would overwrite once I pasted it into the proper folder structure ("\Data\textures\actors\character\facegendata\facetint\skyrim.esm").

Worked out pretty nicely for me, I was hoping someone else could confirm this behavior? Gonna try it out on Annekke next since her skin tones are drastically different from Hroki's. This should make the difference more noticeable.
