wiredsonic
Uh, hello there. So I'm currently on the 'For The Repuplic' quest, where I need to shove a golf club through Mr. House's nostrils and alas, he is invisible. I can see the support chamber and, oddly, his beard. Does anyone know what might be causing this? Take a look: (it isn't my screenshot but it is exactly the same issue) Also, my load order:FalloutNV.esmDeadMoney.esmHonestHearts.esmOldWorldBlues.esmLonesomeRoad.esmGunRunnersArsenal.esmClassicPack.esmMercenaryPack.esmTribalPack.esmCaravanPack.esmoHUD.esmSomeguySeries.esmInterior Lighting Overhaul - Core.esmIWR.esmELECTRO-CITY - CompletedWorkorders.esmELECTRO-CITY - Highways and Byways.esmdomecity.esmMoonQuest.esmThe New Bison Steve Hotel.esmShogo_Heavy_Industries.esmAdvanced Recon Tech.esmFCOMaster.esmProject Nevada - Core.esmProject Nevada - Equipment.esmThe Crucified.esmProject Nevada - Rebalance.espProject Nevada - Cyberware.espWMVM.esmGRARG.esmProject Nevada - Extra Options.esmInterior Lighting Overhaul - L38PS.esmSpeedyResources.esmNVEC Reduce CTD.espMission Mojave - Ultimate Edition.espGrimyBusinesswearFix.espThe Mod Configuration Menu.espThe Weapon Mod Menu.espFlashlightNVSE.espProject Nevada - Rebalance Complete.espInterior Lighting Overhaul - Ultimate Edition.espVurt's WFO.espProject Nevada - All DLC.espEVE FNV - ALL DLC.espdD - Enhanced Blood Main NV.espFellout.espArea 51.espvault22FloralOverhaul.espFCO - NPC Changes.espMMUE-CP-EVE.espWeaponModsExpanded.espCNR_Beta.espTheInheritance.espWMX-DLCMerged.espGRA - The Right to Bear Arms.espRussell.esplexx_brahmin-betsy.espIWR - Rebuilt.espMMUE-CP-WMX.espGRA WRP Compatibility Patch.espCourierCacheWSE.espBobblehunt.espZK13 - Return of the Eyebots.espBadmothaf*#@a.espMMUE-CP-Electrocity.espADAM - Rangers on Patrol.espMobile_Bus.espuylssesbarksfix.espNewVegasBounties.espNewVegasBountiesII.espNewVegasKiller.espNCRTrooperOverhaul.espAutumnLeaves.espWorkingCrimsonCaravanTraders.espCasinoHeists.espKingOfTheRing.espExistence 2.0.espADAM - MAIN.espCAGE 1.9.3.2.espADAM - NCR Patrol Armour.espADAM - Outcast Ranger Armour.espRadio Free Wasteland.espConelrad 640-1240.espSVD.espWMX-EVE-AllDLCMerged.espWMX-ArenovalisTextures.espsingleshot_retex.esp357retex.espCASM with MCM.espMoonQuest_TeleporterThingamajig.espchristinecos.espCShotgun.espRagingBull.espEuclid Tweak.espMinimissilelauncher.espMauserC96.espMIRVaddonGRAedition.espAdvanced Recon Tech.espAdvanced Recon Armor.espAdvanced Recon Armor-Easier Stealth.espMMUE-CP-PNEquipment.espAdvanced Recon Riot Gear Helmet.espBoacombat2glove.espboa ncrpahelmet.espUnlimitedCompanions.espBetter Burned Man.espProject Nevada - WMX.espWMX-POPMerged.espIntegration - Couriers Stash.espZan_AutoPurge_SmartAgro_NV.espFCO - The New Bison Steve.espFCO - Beyond Boulder Dome.espFCO - OHSB NPC Edits.espFCO - Russell.espADAM - LR.espADAM - HH.espADAM - Trooper Gloves.espADAM - Nemesis Armours.espAdvanced Recon Gear.espProject Nevada - Cyberware Additions.espProject Nevada - EVE All DLC.espADAM - Project Nevada Patch.espMMUE-CP-PNALLDLC.espMMUE-CP-PNRebalance.espMMUE-CP-PNCore.espILO - New Vegas Bounties.espILO - New Vegas Bounties II.espFellout-OWB.espWEATHER RUDY ENB.espNVMERGED.esp <-- my merged patch there are 129 plugins. dubiousintent
As there are not reports all over the place about this problem, it's not tied to the texture or mesh from the vanilla game. So it's almost certainly memory exhaustion or a mod conflict. I found my very stable game of almost 400 hours hit the cap at 129 active plugins as well and started having weird texture issues. Dropping out one plugin was enough to clear the problem. Have you employed any of the "heap" fixes (Sheson patch or NVSR), or the "purge cells" options? See this entry in the "Fall NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide. I see you are using ENB. You might want to also look at this entry about ENBoost, and this entry about Transparency/Translucency issues with that. There is also the possibility this is related to FCO, simply because it affects NPC faces. I found a snippet about Yes-man's face being superimposed on Mr. House's face, but didn't find the exact point in the 45 page comment thread it was apparently from here. -Dubious- Edited November 14, 2016 by dubiousintent
wiredsonic
Thanks for the reply, dubiousintent! I got it. To answer your questions: yes I employed a few heap, cell purges and other CTD related fixes, both through plugins and through ini editing. I also use the LAA 4GB fix parameter on the shortcut (for reference: "C:\steamlib\steamapps\common\Fallout New Vegas\fnv4gb.exe" -laaexe .\FalloutNV4GB.exe ) First I removed five esps that I wasn't using anymore, including some radio stations, single weapon addons and vault 22 overhaul. Didn't solve anything but eh, can't hurt especially since I'll need to activate the final two Someguy Series quests esps soon. The entry about transparency you mentioned contained the solution. More specifically, it was the transparency fix part in the enblocal.ini. Disabling it solves the two invisible textures issues I found with NV so far: Mr. House and Camp Golf Resort walls. But, this also comes with negative effects: now I see a LOT of flickering textures on mesh intersections. I don't think I'll pursue any solution further because I'm confortable enabling and disabling it whenever needed, but if anyone start to look into the matter and finds this post, there you go. I still need to play through the DLCs, but I explored everywhere in the game and Camp Golf Resort was the only major glitch I found aside from Mr House. again thanks for the tips
