CaptainChaos
Well, at 44th level and having beaten the main quest, I'm all for steamrolling easy opponents. Bears and Sabretooths which were impossible around level 10 and very challenging at level 20, easily fall to me b/c I hold up my shield, they go into slow motion, and I kill them. For some reason though Bandit Plunderer mobs still rule me though. My only real problem with combat is that it should have a restriction on the number of potions you can quaff like Titan Quest (timer) or Risen (where you put your weapon away and then have to take out the potion and drink it, while getting hit upside the head over and over again, lol). I feel like tough combats, with dragons, boil down to stocking up on potions. So, for me Mastery, was really about giving me a money sink; I must have spent about $100k on potions - at least. Now, at 44th level, I keep a handful of highly enchanted Elven or Glass Shields (all found or purchased) for Magic/Elemental Resistances and have slightly enchanted Steel Plate Armor (slightly as in no crazy exploits - just had some smithing from making jewelry out of found gems and Iron Ores I transmute to silver or gold, and like a 30 Enchant skill - maybe). Also, investing a lot more in Stamina is helping a lot. Before I was so focused on staying alive, I got 400 health with 140 stamina. Now that stamina is closer to 200, I get more power attacks which helps. A lot. Also, my Ebony Fire Mace always sets them on fire no matter what, haha. Finally, I have to say, on Master Difficulty, offensive damage shouts, like Fire and Ice, seem pretty useless. I stick to Force Push or whatever it is. I love pushing tough opponents over cliffs.
