thumbincubation
Can someone help me, or point me to a step-by-step tutorial, for uploading for PS4? So far, the "help" available on bethesda.net has been...less than helpful. What I've done: Created an .esp only mod, signed into launcher. Signed into bethesda.net through the ck. Hit the "create new" to input information on the currently loaded mod. Got the message to finalize through bethesda.net. Clicked that, signed in, yet again, to bethesda.net, saw nothing. Clicked mods tab, chose Skyrim SE, saw more nothing. Clicked community, saw some dos and don'ts, a bunch of questions about archives, and not much of anything about the actual steps to expect when trying to upload a mod, how to verify it, or where to view it. (it would appear not to be via the mods tab.) So, if someone has done this successfully, please point me in the right direction. I don't know if I'm just missing some big step, that I should be seeing, or if something is wrong.
Purr4me
I have not looked yet into support for this game on that platform or publishers support for this game.If however, there are mods being supported for that platform, be expected some scrutiny By Bethesda and valve of what ever you upload, it will be screened, IF deemed appropriate? it will be allowed, other wise, you will see nothing but static and you will get a message as to why too from them. For screening ? name of the plugin / mod ?
thumbincubation
I figured it out. Apparently, for Bethesda, if you don't allow all cookies, they just don't let you access anything. No privacy for you. Once I did that, I was able to get in and finalize the upload. There are the usual no-nos, but the big thing for PS4 is no external assets. So, .esp only mods, but retextures and stuff are out.
Purr4me
ok, so long then have fun. SSE has no interest for me, only the challenges of technicalities. I'll keep in mind "Cookies" for that site under these circumstances. kitty B.
thumbincubation
Thanks Kitty. The main thing, for me, is the hope of better performance with more going on, because of the 64 bit thing. I'd like to be able to actually have more than 5 people in my "towns," for a change. Outside of that, I feel like it's been a needless hassle. Purr4me
Thanks Kitty. The main thing, for me, is the hope of better performance with more going on, because of the 64 bit thing. I'd like to be able to actually have more than 5 people in my "towns," for a change. Outside of that, I feel like it's been a needless hassle.Look at whom published the Game..there won't be any more hassle free games coming from that source, they want you on their site under their control and access to your system for marketing purposes. Most of the data in these games was written on 32bit machine software as there are no tools for graphics for 64bit and all systems that use the conversions require (x86) data and resource files for 32bit to even work right. The 64bit architecture is a flim flam so you get caught up in ram usage, a locked kernel prevents expansion of 32bit hardware "Ram". They, the companies and Geeks try to convince every one 64 bit is the real deal. Unfortunately by the time you figure all of this out, it's 10 years later and a lost cause. DVD's can not be written in 64bit, all mediums must use 32bit formats. There is no such thing as a 64bit cd rom writer. They want you to to believe one thing so they control their products without needing to butcher it, DRM it to death. For the sake of Ram ? Processing speed?... Skyrim is a Prime example..and from that you take away knowledge from the doing, and the big fiasco so laid out. Sky-rim runs just fine the way it was, now, they decided to convert some parts to run only on 64bit machines. And now we have nothing but problems, again, just like Fo4 issues, it starts all over again. your kept online so they control the software. The really funny thing is, the actual decryption data is ...(x86) 32bit files. One giant mess. An you have zero choices...except not use the 64bit game conversions. What software can edit materials, textures and mesh files for any of these games? Then ask why they include the 32bit CK with the game? Markets are money, their interests lie in money and your Obedience to obey what they shovel your way. your convinced it can only be one way...yet..all the complaints dictate other wise. It has become silly to even challenge any one any more over this fact. But, you play your game, and follow their rules until you can no longer stomach the publishers product, you end up going back to what does work.In fact, it's stupid to even argue the facts about any of this.
