On the periodic table, there is a line over on the right side separating them. Hydrogen is on the left side of the line; therefore, it's a metal. It may be a gas, but it's a metal.Hydrogen is counted as a nonmetal in both chemistry and astronomy. And you may be forgetting about the metalloid elements. I had thought everyone knew Hydrogen wasn't a metal but apparently some people still think it is, just like some people don't understand why when your item cost $4.56 you hand them $5.06. they just hand you back your 6c and then hand you 44c.
