Crazed4Christ
I don't mod but I wanted to know if anyone would be willing to change all mage robes into light armor. You don't have to mess with the textures, just change the robes so that users can equip mage robes, still have some kind of protection, and can level up using light armor. Otherwise it is really hard to stay alive as a mage without wearing either light or heavy armor. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Have you tried wearing light armour bracers/gloves and boots that are enchanted to give a health bonus with the robes and hood?
satsujinka
actually, what would be better is an athletics skill that gives you dodge abilities if you aren't wearing armor (amongst other things.) though you'd have to ax one of the other skills to do so. If there's a way of merging lockpicking and pickpocket I'd add it there, otherwise merging light amd heavy armor into just armor would be the best way to do it. Crazed4Christ
I will have to try that it should keep me alive longer. However I think that it would be relatively easy to make a mod that would make all mage robes into light armor. I would do it, but as I have said earlier, I don't know how to make a mod. OrphenFire
No, no, no. Use Ebonyflesh and raise the Mage Armor perk in Alteration up to 3/3. Then you get 300 armor rating when wearing only clothes. It gives you waaaayyy more protection than any armor. Sure, it takes some patience to level up your Alteration high enough to get Ebonyflesh and also all 3 Mage Armor perks, but it's totally worth it.
