pra
I'd like to see a mod which adds settlements in some special, unusual locations: - An old skyscraper:I actually had a dream where this was a thing once. In there, you had an old hotel skyscraper as a settlement, but could only build at the ground floor, 1-2 floors above it, on the topmost and on the roof, with an elevator connecting the two areas. There were a lot of rooms, some with still-intact beds for settlers, and I had crop planters on the roof. For water, I'd just cheat and place there some pre-war water pump, connected to old pipes, which you just need to power. Now I'm not sure if stuff like this would even work, so maybe just have the top part of the skyscraper as the settlement, and then you just enter it via the elevator on the ground floor.Or actually add the entire building as buildable area? I have no idea how bad it is performance-wise if you have an actual skyscraper as a settlement in the global worldspace. Maybe turn it into a fake exterior cell, like diamond city or goodneighbour? Or, at least, have some of the middle floors be inaccesible or destroyed (aka, just large hollow spaces) in order to keep the polygon count low? Or, just don't make it a skyscraper, only a 5-story building or something. - A metro station:that one has been suggested a couple of times, but sadly, not implemented. Would be an interior cell, like Vault 88, with some pieces of dirt between/on the rails for crops (or make the rails scrappable) for that, and some part of the tunnels with a downward slope with some water, so that you can build a purifier there. In some tunnels leading away from the station hostile ghouls could spawn, so that you would need to barricade them off/build defenses there. - A hydroelectric dam:Maybe the dam in Nuka World. You have enough water, and with enough science, you can repair the turbines, too. As a bonus, it could provide power to other settlements once repaired, like this
