seularts
I have a huge Issue with landscape editing in GECK. I modify my terrain as I see fit (flatten a huge size of land for example - using flatten vertex), and looks great after I finish in GECK, but when I start the game some portions of my flatten terrain are covered by an auto generated terrain from within the game, that I can pass right through it (it is not consistent or solid as the rest of the terrain). I have no idea where to modify or remove this terrain since I can't see it in GECK.
davidlallen
This is a very common question. You cannot regenerate the "level of detail" map for the main worldspace. This means you cannot prevent the problem you describe. Instead of lowering the land, try raising it. Or build a new worldspace, or put your mod underground. Jeoshua
O, I believe you can generate an LOD for the main worldspace. It just takes many weeks of computer time to complete, and would be prohibitively large to redistribute. New (smaller) Worldspace. Best option. davidlallen
If you have generated LOD for the main worldspace, please let us know how. Everybody I know of, who has tried, has reported failure.
seularts
I did manage to generate the main map in LOD, but some parts of the land just delete them self and I can see only water and the ground under. Hmm.. well I guess I have to live with this so far. I will try to raise the ground and if possible to flatten it afterwards, thanks for your replies.
