How Do I Know If Installed Overrides Are Actually Working? Just Starting Out...

Okay, I have the game installed and everything, but started my play-through yet. I don't want to start without knowing for sure that everything I did is actually working.

I am using ModManager. The "DaZip" file worked and shows up in the games Installed Content section on the title screen, but NONE of the overrides I went through all that trouble to learn how to install show up on the list. So my question is, how do I know if they are installed and are working or not?

Can somebody please help me with this?

Thanx in advance

If it's .override file you'r speaking of :

rename your "file.override" in "file.zip" and extract it.

Open your : C:/[user's documents]/Bioware/Dragon Age/packages/core/override

The files extracted must match with folders there.

But you don't really need to do this, when it's not working, modmanager tells you.

If you'r speaking of files you've installed manually, you can't be sure if it works correctly.

You can try to find duplicates files in your override folder for avoid conflict.

Copy paste all the files of your override folder in a temporary folder. (just the files not the folders)

When your computer ask if you have to erase a file, this file is conflicting with another.

You have just to find from what mod they come from, and uninstall one of them.

You can also delete one of the files and pray for the working of the other mod, but this can cause some in-game garbage...

I hope it's understandable, i'm not so good in english lol

Please provide the names of the specific mods you're talking about so we can better troubleshoot your issue.

NOTE: Mods that are packaged as ".override" files will NOT appear in the "Downloadable Content" list, only ".dazip" files will show.

(And obviously you have to have used the DAO-ModManager (DAMM) to install ".override" mods in the first place, since the whole point of using those mods is to be able to select the options they allow. :whistling: )

  • 2 weeks later...

Sorry it took me so long to respond...

1. A Kiss To Remember-548

2. BSC Zesty-548

3. Natural Bodies All in One 3_0-544

4. White Teeth V1_1-44

5. Madd Gift Guide V1_1-385

6. More Options At The Pearl V3_3-1176-3-3

Those are the mods and overrides I tried installing. As an update, so far, everything seems to work. The only things I have yet to see are the ones for the Pearl and the "Zesty" thing. But that's because I haven't gotten that far in the game yet to see if they are working or not.
