damanding
You'll need to follow these instructions to enable your game to support mods: http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Fallout_4_Mod_Installation You'll also want to familiarize yourself with using LOOT to sort your load orders: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/5310 You might like Elianora's Gunslinger armor: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/16575, she also has a Steampunk Gunslinger: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/18044 I think either of those would go great with a revolver. I don't use any weapon mods so no suggestions for those, but for most of the best armors and weapons you'll need to use the AWKCR system with Armorsmith and Weaponsmith. AWKCR http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/6091/? will have detailed instructions and links to the Armor/Weaponsmith mods. They're more complex than your average mod so make sure you read all the directions and sticky posts carefully, particularly regarding load order. As for picking out other armor or weapon mods you'll like, I suggest you sort mods by category http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/categories/? and just browse the categories you need. The most popular ones will be at the top of each list for that category. There is also a Body, Face, Hair category that you'll want to check out to customize your appearance. Finally I suggest just playing with what you've selected for awhile, then decide what features of the game you don't like and seeing if there's a mod that changes it (there quite likely is). For example I can't play with a full dialogue mod (there are two main ones). You might wish to modify your user interface, survival options if you decide to play in survival mode, etc. If you really like settlement building, there's a lot of great mods out there for that. Once you've decided what specific areas you want to improve based on experience you can come back and we'll offer more detailed suggestions. I've personally tried at least 500 mods just for Fallout 4 alone and I look at the latest releases every single day, so I have a really good idea of what's available. It's tempting to go wild in the beginning and install everything, but take it slow at first, especially as you won't be as good at spotting mods that will be incompatible. Just add a few at a time. Editing to add: A lot of people prefer the CBBE body mod to the vanilla body. But it's not exactly plug and play friendly for people brand new to modding in general, especially when you want to start customizing the body shape and outfits to that body shape. There's now an alternative body mod called Wonder Body that is more or less compatible with vanilla clothing mods. It's plug and play friendly, no customizing needed. So decide how badly you want to learn how to customize your body and clothing and do some reading of tutorials on it before jumping into that deep end. :) Edited November 17, 2016 by damanding
