CriticalGamer
Here goes: I got Skyrim for x-mas, even if my Xbox was in Frankfurt. (Some guys there was going to fix the overheating problem on it). I think the Xbox 360 is coming home on Wednesday. And the thing is... that I can't wait.Everybody says this game is really good. Now, while I'm waiting I'm watching videos about Skyrim (glitches, playthrough etc.). So I'm wondering if you guys have some tips and tricks for me to do while waiting!/Thx!
Matth85
Not too much to say. Save often, try not to overuse the crafting skills -- since it will render the game too easy, too fast. Uhm.. yeah. What skills you should use are up to you. It's a TES game, so everything is perfectly viable. I also suggest not fast travelling too much. Just because exploring is half the game ;) Enter each and every cave you find! euhm....eh.. Oh, right. If you get into one of the guilds: Be aware! The quest chains are very short and you'll become the new head of X guild in the matter of 4 quests. So if you got some sense of RP, try not to do too much of it before you are done with side quests ;)Other than that, the guilds are: The Companions - found in the first "major" city you get to, namely Whiterun. This is the Fighters guild.College of Winterhold - found by travelling to Winterhold. The Mages guild.Thieves Guild - found by an event you get when going to the trade area of Riften.Dark Brotherhood - ask for rumours, and a sidequest will lead you to the Dark Brotherhood. If you are a mage I suggest going to the College for the first quest. Going any further is both hard, and you risk becoming archmage rather quick. If you do not care about that, the reward for being an arcmage is quite nice for any casters! If you are a Warrior you can choose to join the Companions and get a pretty cool reward after a few quests. It is rendered useless at higher level, but is decent. I myself do not do the companions before a long time when playing my warrior, just because I see no reason for it. If you are an Assassin/Thief I suggest going to the THieves guild and getting up your sneak and pickpocket. Some of the quests are quite cool too! Then I would head over the the Dark Brotherhood and smack head. Lastly, I will recommend you use alchemy. It is a perfect money maker. Certain potions can net you 500+ gold. I always use alchemy, without perks, on every character. Try to make it a habbit of picking up flowers and stuff when you travel. It is totally worth it :) Other than that, it is all up to you.
