WatchTheShow
Have you ever been riding your horse down a mountain path, and wanted to look at the scenery as you passed by it? Well as soon as that camera swivels to the right or left so you can view those pretty flowers on the side of the road, the horse goes careening off the side of the mountain. Why? Because the camera is apparently glued to the horse's anatomy. Yeah you can compensate for the camera by holding down wa or wd while looking to the side, but what about if you want to look behind you? For those of you who played Red Dead Redemption, you know there are two camera options when riding a horse. For those who have never played Red Dead Redemption, I will explain: 1. The first option is just like Skyrim, where the camera is pretty much glued to the horse's rear and once the camera is turned a little to the left or right, the whole horse turns to the left or right with the camera. This makes it impossible to look behind the horse while it is running or sprinting away from danger. Also, when the horse itself moves, it takes the camera with it. The horse moves to the left, the camera is going to move to the left. The two are integrated and attached to each other. 2. The second option is my personal favorite, but is unavailable in Skyrim. The camera is free from the horse's movement and can be swiveled around while the horse moves, without disturbing the horses direction. For example, you can travel in a straight line while riding on your horse, while moving the camera to the left, up, down, right, behind yourself, and the horse will continue to move in a straight line until you hit a, s, or d. The camera is completely free from the horse, and the wasd keys are the only things turning the horse, not the lousy camera. Not only that, but when the horse itself moves, the camera does not move. The horse moves to the left, but your camera will continue to face the direction it was last facing until you move your mouse around. I'm not sure how difficult or simple this would be, so any input or thoughts would be welcomed. This doesn't have to be fancy, all I want is a 3rd person, free moving camera that doesn't make the horse change his direction when the camera moves.
