Shiroryoo
HI everyone iv not long since had F4 and im trying a revolver and sword build out but i find the sword to be very lacking as in how long it takes to make another swing of the sword like im holding a big massive pipe instead of a nimble sword, is there any mod or any perk that will increase the attack speed of the melee? thanks in advance
Moraelin
It's called a power armour. Third person in power armour makes all swings much faster, at least for two-handed weapons like Grognak's Axe or the rocket sledgehammer. Also, it should be obvious, but technically you only need to be in the PA frame for the animations to switch over. Actual PA pieces on it are optional. Moraelin
Here are a few other ideas for melee, though, if speed is more your thing: - knives, like the combat knife, or especially pickman's blade. The bleed effect stacks with itself, and ignores armour entirely, so a quick weapon with bleed is going to bleed them out pretty quickly - a ripper. While the damage on it is low, it hits like a sewing machine. Again, find one with bleed on it and, yeah, it bleeds anything out about as fast as cutting off the bottom of a paper cup Conversely, if you don't mind the speed, here's another idea for melee: - double-bleed per hit, and some hefty poison to boot. Get Kremvh's Tooth. Get a machete with bleed on it. This is pure luck, unfortunately. Replace the sacrificial blade on Kremvh's Tooth with a normal blade. Now you have a sacrificial blade mod, so put it on the other machete.

Moraelin
One more idea, if speed is your biggest problem: try putting the Rapid legendary effect on your sword and see if it actually does anything. Normally it only goes on guns, but most of the effects are interchangeable. (E.g., you can literally put Grognak's Axe on your revolver, and have every shot stagger and bleed.) Caveat: like the Highlander taught us, there can be only one. If you add a legendary effect to a weapon, it will remove any legendary effect it already had. So if you make Chao's Revenge be Rapid it loses the Troubleshooter's effect. So it's best done on some random drop or bought weapon that doesn't lose anything in the process. At any rate, it's an either-or choice, so you get to choose whether you want your weapon to be faster, or make them bleed, or whatever else that's available. Note that that only applies to legendary effects. If a weapon has an effect that's not in the legendary slot, like the sacrificial blade on Kremvh's Tooth, or the shadow blade on Pickman's Blade, those don't get replaced when you put yout own legendary effect on it. So:- crouch- drop the sword on the ground- look at it- SAVE- open the console- "help rapid 0 omod"- you'll want the one that only says "Rapid" as its name, no other combinations, so: 001ec56d- with the console still open, try to click that sword. If you get a message about non-ref object, reload, open the console again and try again. If you get something else than FF as the starting digits of the ID, same deal, reload. (Items that were handplaced in the world, including named items like Chao's Revenge will not start with FF. Problem is, that so do pieces of scenery where you dropped that weapon, and you don't want to mess the map up. So just spawn or buy a new random sword and make sure it starts with FF.)- type "amod 001ec56d"- exit the console, pick up your sword and see if it actually swings 25% faster. It SHOULD, but hell if I know. Th-th-th-th-that's all, folks! In-game modding without using the CK
robhartman9
I used a mod that adds a Japanese sword set (tanto wakizashi katana) found in a house in Sanctuary. Speed is better on them than other melee weapons found in the game. They start with moderate stats but when upgraded with the required perks they are pretty fearsome. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15267/?
