TantricSlacker
I play on XB1, experimenting with a couple hundred mods. Things seem to behave fairly well most of the time. I noticed a couple of very strange things recently: 1. I take no rad damage no matter where I am.2. No consumable (e.g. stimpaks, chems) have any effect on my character I did some poking around in my inventory and noticed that all of the effect values for every chem, food, drink, etc., were zero. This explains why stimpaks don't heal my character. Perhaps this also explains why my character takes no rad damage (somewhere there is probably a rad value for places and things and it could be those have all been set to zero as well). I loaded my earliest modded save and a non-modded save and consumables are as they should be there. So I've tried disabling all mods, clearing cache, and loading up a save gave. The problem persists. Last night I completely uninstalled and reinstalled everything, hours...loaded up a save. Did not resolve the issue. This leads me to one question: Are a lot of things -- that maybe shouldn't be, e.g. problems -- are propagated in save games? I can't think of any other way an issue could present in one save and not in an earlier one. My main request is, apart from installing another mod, does anybody have any suggestions for what I can do to fix these issues? Is there an XB1 mod out there that might solve this? I do have the creation kit installed and have been tinkering. I had thought to create a patch mod for myself that restores all presets for consumable and environmental damage values. But as far as I understand it, the only things that will save to into a mod are changes...not copies of values already there. I wonder if for items created with recipes whether their values would be fixed if the underlying base ingredient values were fixed... I thought perhaps there is a scripted way to restore presets, but I'm too new to scripting to understand how to do this. Anyways, if anybody has any insights or advice I'd really appreciate it. This issue's seriously cutting down on my immersion level.
