Eiden Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 Greetings and salutations, or, as I am wont to say, gropings and salivations. Call me a newb, a n00b or just a boob, I have a tough skin and can take it as a bit of typing never harmed anyone. I happened upon the nexus via a post on the Oblivion forums while seeking potential mod downloads. (I purchased the game last week, so, I'm an Oblivion newb.) I wouldn't describe myself as a hardcore gamer, but, more a video game addict. I played Morrowind from the release date and in my impatience for awaiting the release of Oblivion I became an avid FFXI player. I still play FFXI and am a hardcore endgamer. I've been playing video games since Atari produced the arcade game Asteroids in 1979, and then, brought it home on the Atari 2600. Of course, I no longer have that system, but, I do still have my original NES, Sega, PS1 and PS2 systems. I also enjoy reading forums, and a good debate, or at least expressing my opinions. I do not consider myself to be a post angel. I can back that up with the fact that there are forums of which, I've been a member of for nearly 10 years and have less than 500 posts on each. (In case you're wondering, yes, there are some very long lived forums around, the names have changed over the years, but many of the members are still the same.) Anyway, enough about me, work beckons and the daily depression that accompanies it is settling in.

Well, hardcore doesn't describe you, eh? Well, I'm mostly a hardcore gamer. As you're more of a video game addict. Well, if you have Oblivion or Morrowind, and are looking for mods, you've come to the right place! There's not many pigheaded jerks on here. Most of us are quite friendly, like myself. Anyways, Terminator will get you a fishystick soon. I'm afraid I cannot sell you one. Because if I do, the worst torture ever! The horror! :ohmy: Anyways, it's nice talking to ya. Don't mind me, I am just a humble barbarian with nothing much else to do :P (I really wish I had a sparring partner right now :( ) Anyway, I too still have my original NES (still works too ;) ), but I'm afraid I'm too young to remember the days of Atari :rolleyes: Anyway, we shall see you on the Nexus, and enjoy your stay! ;)

As they say, work is a four letter word, whatever that is supposed to mean. Enjoy the forums. Oblivion has its good points and thankfully mods usually resolve the bad ones.

Gropings and salivations you say? no problem by me, grope away :whistling: Anyway, read through - some is casual light, some is quite heavy and some is not worth your time (but you never know until you read it if it falls into the 3rd category :P ). They were called "Bulletin boards" back in the very late 80's internet and early 90's, but some were just filled with net speek and winey nerds of all types. The only thing I say has improved since then is that net speek isn't acceptable in many forums any longer (much to the relief of my eyes and I.Q. )
