allomerus
EDIT: Problem fixed. Hello all! I've got a very particular question about blender's 2.49 interface. Turns out, I'm using blender 2.59 (yes, not 2.49, but 2.59) to create/rig/etc. items, and I intended to use blender 2.49 on a very small portable computer to do the export from .blend to .nif. Everything would work flawlessly, but unfortunately the scripts window, the one that's loaded with options, through which we command the exportation, is too big to actually fit into the laptop's window. What the hell is wrong with that? Well, the scripts window cannot be moved or scrolled down, which means that the ''export'' button is out of my reach. And that gets me angry. I've tried to play with the program window itself, to stretch it beyond the borders of the screen, but that dastardly win7 starter ed. won't let me go far enough) Plainly: Is there a way to make Blender's interface smaller? To decrease the size of the buttons/fonts/etc. so that everything could fit into the window? Please don't suggest downgrading my main computer to 2.49, it's exactly what I want to avoid at any cost. EDIT: I found a way in the user rpeferences to decrease the font size, but the buttons remain the same size, which means the problem remains the same. Thanks in advance for the help! Nephenee13
Can you have separate installs of Blender on the same machine?
allomerus
Good question. Since versions 2.4 and 2.5 require different versions of python, I doubt it would be possible unless one is much better at handling complex files than I am. I've never heard of anyone having done such an install, althought it is indeed a great idea.
Nephenee13
Its quite possible to have more than one version of Python on the same machine. Anyone who runs both Blender 2.49 and recent versions of Wrye Bash does it. Give it a shot.
allomerus
OMG Never mind, I managed to find a workaround... just flipped my screen 90 degrees, hard as hell to handle with a touchpad, but I got it working anyway. EDIT: hehe we posted at the same time. Thanks for the advice, I'll try to get both working rather than killing myself with the laptop. thanks for your time!
