JMMcNemo
Stuff that I'd love to get-A complete Oblivion Gate + Realm (including Buildings, clutter and Fountains), not to mention Dremora to fight-A complete Sheogorath Realm (Shivering Isles including all its wonderful creatures and fantastic vegetation), including Saints, Seducers and the Forces of Order-Complete Ayleid Ruins sets, they were my favourite place in Oblivion-Umaril the Unfeathered+his gear, his Aurorans and their battle axes-Lord of the Rings Items, including a complete Sauron Armor with that silly cape of his-DUNE mod-the Chapels and Priories of Oblivion There's a part of me that wants to believe that someone, at some point, will make a system that allows one to import the entire Oblivion data files set (From legally purchased, only-on-the-user's-system copies, naturally) into Skyrim's engine. Apparently the geography is there to accommodate Cyrodiil and Morrowind, it's just a lack of maps and stuff. Now, that said, there's all kinds of leagl issues preventing that from being posted lock, stock, and barrel on Nexus or where ever, but JUST the batch file or describing the process to allow an industrious user to do it themselves *might* not carry the same kind of prosecutable problems. There are those who can speak with more authority on the subject, of course. Also, doing so could easily break half the quests and mods just by existing, but hey. ^_^
DarkAnsem
lol, right, just importing within skyrim's style would be great.
Matth85
Apparently the geography is there to accommodate Cyrodiil and MorrowindIt's there so when you are high up in the sky, as at a mountain near a border or when the Dadreic Prince teleport you up, you got something to see. The landmass is also wrong. To the OP: It seem you want mostly Oblivion stuff. Most of that is not lore friendly within Skyrim, and would need a placement somewhere else. That said, it isn't too had to imagie a Oblivion gate opening up.However, why play Skyrim when most of the things you want are found in Oblivion? It would take time to make most of what you ask, since directly porting over is against the EULA. Though I'd bet somebody, sometime, would try to make some Oblivion armors and add them for Skyrim -- like some did in Oblivion from Morrowind. DarkAnsem
or maybe Bethesda could make some DLC with nostalgia items made with Skyrim's graphical style. Sunder and Wraithguard , for example.
Matth85
or maybe Bethesda could make some DLC with nostalgia items made with Skyrim's graphical style. Sunder and Wraithguard , for example. Not really how the game industry works. Now Bethesda will make a few DLCs and start working on an Expansion. Both trying to add more to the game, as in new -- not old. Then they wil spend the next 5-6 years on another game. It's generally been up to us, the modders, to make the fun stuff. That said, I know that there is a "almost" similar item to Sunder made for Oblivion a few months ago. I know because I made the base of the model. It uses the same workflow as was used to make Skyrim. I still hold to what I said: If you, or random person X, wants a lot of "nostalgic" parts to Skyrim: Why not just play the games again? If I am not wrong, everybody who like Skyrim think it is a god blessing. I see no problems in playing that. Same thing with Oblivion.
DarkAnsem
isn't DLC supposed to be cool stuff that is not really necessary, like The Orrery, or Horse Armor?
Matth85
t DLC supposed to be cool stuff that is not really necessary, like The Orrery, or Horse Armor? They are, but mostly to improve gameplay and give stuff fitting the lore of the game. A DLC is also never big. It can range from a house, to a tower, to a quest, and to a equipment pack. Look at Oblivion: We got a dagger, we got a few player home based on guilds -- Mage tower and Assassins hideout, we got the Orrery as a little fun nd we got Horse Armor to make horses be a little cooler and more fun. I doubt we'd get any stuff from Obivion or Morrowind as a DLC. And for an expansion I bet the Thalmor invasion is involved. That said, if you want to hope for a DLC related to your wishes, I won't say anything against it. I just really doubt it. However, I have been wrong before. DarkAnsem
the only problem is that Oblivion items probably won't fit in Skyrim graphics, that's why I hope for developers intervention. Even upscaling the textures to Skyrim's resolution won't help, it's a poly problem I believe.

Even upscaling the textures to Skyrim's resolution won't help, it's a poly problem I believe upscaling If somebody upscale a texture, I will shoot them with an arrow to the knee. Seriously. One of the golden rules in 3d: No upscalig textures. If somebody want a better texture, they better damn remake it.That said, most of the models would work just fine with a little bit of tweaking. However, modders can't take the original model and use it for anything. We'd need to make it from scratch. Not too hard, but ... well ... it takes a little bit of time. And time, my friend, is something we do not got enough of.
