EmissaryOfWind
I tried opening the new CK to convert one of my mods, and the render window is just pitch black. I tried a couple fixes I saw with a quick search of the issue, including reinstalling the kit and setting it to compatibility mode Vista but no dice. Anyone know how to get it to work? 4khector
I was having same issue, I logged into Bethesda net and there was an update for creation kit that seemed to fix problem.
thumbincubation
When you sign into launcher, click on the SSE creation kit button, then it should let you click options and update/verify from there. I had the same problem, after both the beta update and the live update.
EmissaryOfWind
It seems to be working now, but attempting to load my esp crashes the kit, so it looks like I still have some troubleshooting to do! Edit: nope, it was normal for a while and then went black. what the hell? Edited November 21, 2016 by EmissaryOfWind
EmissaryOfWind
Okay, so it looks like trying to display any of my custom objects made the render window go black, but if I hide them all, then right-click > edit them one by one it fixes the issue. Edit: correction, works for some of them, makes the kit crash with others. It's going to be a real pain to convert this one  Edited November 21, 2016 by EmissaryOfWind
moriador
Yep, I was wondering what was causing this. But hiding objects one at a time showed that it's clearly a case of some meshes not converting properly. Not an issue with CK.
KorinOo
I have found a potential fix for this.In your model, in NiTriShapeData, find a property "Vector Flags" and set on "Has_Tangents" flag. It fixed the black screen bug for me, as well as made some objects visible that were previously invisible.
