Rastamanbearpig
Im running windows 7 via Parallel on my macbook pro and am tryingto figure out how to get the SKSE mod to find TESV.exe so i can run SkyUI and the other mods that require it. I've downloaded the mod, unzipped with WinZip and placed "skse_1_04_02" folder into the "The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim" folder which was located in the Bethesda Softworks folder. EVerywhere i search on the internet tells to open skyrim via the skse launcher, but when i try to launch, i get skse launcher couldnt find TESV.exe. Like the title says, im completely new to this and am one baby step above clueless, can someone please help me? Thanks for your time everyone. MShoap13
I believe SKSE looks for Windows Registry entries to locate TESV.exe. If you've relocated Skyrim without properly uninstalling, removing the registry keys the uninstall leaves behind, rebooting, then reinstalling it, that may be the source of your problems. If this is the case I recommend doing a full reinstall following those steps. I also recommend using Revo Uninstaller to uninstall Skyrim as it will automatically look for and ask if you'd like to remove left behind registry entries. If youre interested in keeping mods, save games, etc. in tact upon reinstalling, Bben's Oblivion Reinstall Procedure has some useful tips that also work for Skyrim. If you haven't relocated your installation of Skyrim, then either Parallel is causing a problem or you have a pirated version of the game. If it's the former, you're probably out of luck but googling the program and how it deals with the Windows Registry might potentially turn up something helpful, if it's the latter, buy the game. Kevinfrost
I have the exact same problem. Tried opening as an admin and no diffrent. And no, I have not uninstalled or relocated skyrim, it is not a pirate copy. I see the tesv file just sitting there a couple lines away from the skse files.
