[Help] Having trouble forcing housecarl to sleep

Recommended Posts

Trying to make a simple mod forcing Lydia to sleep in her bed in Breezehome as long as she isn't the player's current follower. It seems to work a little, but after having her follow and dismissing her a few times, she just won't go back to bed at all.

All I did was just add a custom package to the top of her list. Not sure if the conditions are wrong or what. Screens of relevant settings below:

Any ideas?

The package needs to be the last thing available when Lydia goes through her package stack. In other words, all of her other packages have to run first, if they are going in a specific order based on conditions or time they start and how many hours the package(s) will run.

It's hard to explain in written, but look at the dude at the Warmaidens shop, notice how his packages are setup. The package just before the last one starts at 20:00(8pm) ends at midnight(duration will say 4 hours). Hence his sleep package starts at midnight, because there's nothing else for him to do but sleep until it's time for him to run his first package at 8am. This is how packages work. You should then be able to figure out how to get crafty with other conditions from there.

Your sleep package has no schedule set. If you want her to sleep from 11pm to 6am then you need to set the begin time 23, then the duration for 7 hrs. Make sure your packages timeframes don't conflict. However, if they do conflict, then place the package that has highest priority to you at the top.

For instance, let's say your sleep package has the biggest priority and you want her to sleep 11P-6A. Then that package is placed at the top. Say you have a sandbox package that starts for her at 5A. That conflicts with her sleep time but you prioritize the sleep package. Then the sandbox package falls below the sleep package and even though sandbox starts a 5A, her sleep package still takes priority and she will not leave the bed until 6A.
