Octopaige
All right- so, like many others before me, I have run into the dreaded black/grey face bug. No, Ctrl+F4 doesn't work- the problem is with the character's factints and meshes not exporting/importing at all. All right let's start from the top: I've read many a thread on this from 2011 Skyrim, but they have either yet to help me and/or I refuse to necro things from 2013. Also a few things have changed since then, with SE and all. I've created a custom NPC follower/marriage candidate from scratch (i.e, not modifying an existing character)- however, I am using a custom hairstyle (not from Apaachii, but I do have it installed for my player character) and skin tone. Now, the real problem is that it seems that even when loading these hair/skin mods as an additional master file, the CK fails to find the meshes and textures associated with these mods and cannot import them, (though it is pulling them up as options). Yes, the error messages specificaly state that the files could not be found. I get a fancy red exclamation point in-CK, and my preview window is bald. Digging into my actual character data that I pulled when designing him, I am also completely missing the FaceTints folder (I only have the other files under FaceGenData) I don't really know how/where to pull these files from to make it work- the character is, of course, completely fine otherwise. I've done this from absolute scratch multiple times now with consistent, wrong results. Could use some advice, especially with the limited tools out there. Edit: Also I have no idea how this posted twice, this was unintentional and may be a side effect of my shoddy mobile version. I also lacked access to any subforums (e.g the modding section) which I now see on the desktop version. Deleted3897072User
If the files are in a bsa, you may need to extract them into loose files for the CK to find them.
