blighme Posted December 27, 2011 Share Posted December 27, 2011 Hello, Among the small requests that built up in time, there's one in particular that is really bothering and I'd like to make: the sound of the hooves.I don't know how much anyone thought of this one, but it's very bothering to see the image of someone riding a horse and hearing noises that may as well be from falling crumbs of bread. It feels like levitating, not several hundred kilos of man and beast riding the steppes or rocks or pavement. I swear, even the mutton's hooves, if played a bit louder, are better than this. I, for one, am willing to accept the mountain-climbing horse, the weak splash of the water when jumping into it, the exaggerated battle sounds or the even more exaggerated fantasy-like shapes of weapons, I'll go along with all for the sake of the wonderful game that this is, but... every man has his breaking point and mine is the horse. As simple as that. I remember the demo for Two Worlds and, when I rode a horse there, it felt more like a horse: riding on dirt meant muffled, deep sounds, pavement felt sharp and loud, etc -- I'm only commenting about the sounds.
