Your biggest mistakes in Oblivion

Thought it would be nice to have a thread about everyones "noobie" mistakes made in their beginning ;)

I'll make a start :P

-At the very start, walking all the way from the Sewers to Chorrol, not knowing about Fast Travel

-Turning in Azura's Star in the Main Quest, only to find out shortly after about it's strenghts >.>

-Completing the main quest around level 15, ending up with only two Sigil Stones applied to Glass Weapons.

lol, i handed in azura's star 1st time too.... My biggest mistake though was finishing the main quest as a vampire and not taking note of time... the quest ended, i walked outthe temple and bamm... i had very little health left after charging through mehrunes dagon and co. so i died of sun damage after exiting the building.... :wallbash: unfortunately my nearest save was just after getting the amulet back so i had to do it all again... :(

Installing mods on my first game. After I finished everything (as you do) I got bored with the character and started downloading too many mods. So, I lost him, and I've never had such a well developed character since (about level 60). That was my mistake.

1. On my first character I made a character with athletics, armorer, and alchemy as major skills. And I didn't put any armor skill as a major <__<

2. I didn't go for any of the dark brotherhood bonuses because I thought I didn't "need extra cash" (lol I thought the bonuses were cash)

3. I didn't know how to yield so I got a lot of infamy and bounty.

walked to Kavatch from the sewers. then fro Kvatch to Bruma with Maratin..

What?! the Azura's Star have great power?. . damn should have kept it. I finished the main quest without knowing that u can use the sigil stones to enchant a weapon...

Am really ashamed of this one: never realized that it was possible to poison weapons (this is after having played morrowind for years, and oblivion for many months- and after my wife asked me a couple of times what the use of all those drain/damage potions was).

It was only when I accidentally clicked on a potion, and the poison weapon box popped up, that I thought, "interesting..."
